Aretta relaxes by writing. Her favorite genre? Human interest--stories specifically about people. Aretta and her husband, Ed, live in Waxhaw, North Carolina, near Wycliffe's JAARS support center. They served almost 40 years overseas with Wycliffe, beginning among the Awa people in the highlands of Papua New Guinea (PNG). They and Awa men and women translated Scripture into the Awa language. Later, the Lovings served in Kenya with a national Bible translation organization, then returned to PNG to help the Awas revise their New Testament. |
